Well, maybe not this particular face...

My name is Rob Grattan and I've been involved in the I.T. industry in some form or other all my life.

I set up R&D Software in 2000 to make some of that knowledge and expertise available to others.

I was reading an article on disaster recovery when it suddenly occurred to me - what would I do if there was a fire or a burglar stole my PC? All those years of work gone in an instant. I was doing backups onto DVD, but they wouldn't last in a fire. So I started looking at ways of securing my data in a location physically remote from my office.

This is how the off-site backup solution you're reading about now came to fruition.
